Well one thing is apparent, this year’s MTV Video Music Awards was definitely not about the fashion! I’ve got to say, I was pretty bored and disappointed with this year’s red-but-actually-white carpet, but then again, who could compete with Lady Gaga!?
Lady Gaga wore a total of 3 dresses throughout the night and stole the show with her record-breaking 8 Moon Man awards, winning most of them for her video, “Bad Romance.” Here’s a look at her 2010 VMA dresses:

Okay, the Alexander McQueen dress was definitely elegant and beautiful, but the feather-mohawk headpiece was pushing it– but hey, that’s Lady Gaga for you. And those snake skin heels! Again, typical Lady Gaga. I personally find them to be grotesque looking and the shape to be unflattering. But the black Armani dress was absolutly stunning, definitely my favorite of the night. Sure she needed help walking in it because the fabric was too heavy for her tiny body, but it looked so amazing. Again, she wore a mohawk headpiece, but this time of black spikes with pulled-back hair. She wore similar shoes to the snake-skin heels, but they were black. And lastly, the infamous Franc Fernandez meat dress. Creative, yes. Disgusting, yes. Real meat, yes, I think so. Gaga, yes. With the dress, she wore meat wedge boots, wrapped with twine. Very interesting, but vulgar.

Lenay Dunn glows in a now-classic pink sequin mini dress, gold clutch and pink pumps. Maria Menounos gives a new meaning to the little black dress, pairing this one with gold bangles, an ivory clutch, and black strappy cage sandals. Ashley Greene wears a sexy but pretty black and white strapless dress with beautiful draping and lace detailing on the bodice. Victoria Justice looks adorable in a black & color-shimmering strapless mini dress with black peep toe heels.
And here are some of the worst dressed… What was with the overload of horrible outfits at this year’s VMA’s????

I don’t even know who Robyn is, but does she expect to be taken seriously in a blue spandex onesie with wooden platforms and a military jacket? Roxy Olin wears a mish-mash of fabrics that makes her look like a hot mess. She should’ve borrowed something from best friend and fashion designer, Whitney Port! The blue one-shoulder dress that Snooki is wearing makes her look a lot larger than she is, but at least her new hair style is a lot better than the pouf! Thank god Katy Perry is engaged, because she will never get a guy in that hideous ice skater-esque dress. I think she was going for the same look as Ashley Greene, but totally missed the mark. You have to give some props to Ke$ha though, who made her own dress– literally out of a box of garbage bags. And she looks like trash, but I guess that’s what she was going for (?) And lastly, Natalie Horler wears a one-shoulder black sparkle dress with a weird white “z” across it. What were they thinking?!
SO Lady Gaga, make the award count 9 for the night! Because adorbs awards you Best Dressed for the black Armani gown.
